I live four hours away from my parents. The services help not just my mom, but my dad as well. I am not as worried about their care now. The company keeps me informed about what is going on. If my mom doesn't want to shower, they will let me know and try again the next day. They have really helped the family knowing that someone has eyes on him and can gauge how his health is.
With a little help and an extra pair of eyes, the risk of falls can be reduced and people can focus on living safe and secure at home. This can include assistance with safely moving around the home, removing tripping hazards, increasing lighting, making stairs safe and installing home accessibility or monitoring solutions. We only had one visitor who did well, she did the cleaning and we never got her again. We just found it to be difficult to use because of all the scheduling problems and we also had some health care assistants who did not speak English well. The agency allows my wife to get a bath twice a day and they make sure she eats. I like that they are caring and intelligent. Because I'm handicapped and have trouble getting around, they help me with monthly cleaning that I can't do. They have made life easier by giving us a sense of security. They need to be able to do things so I don't have to train them everyday. They need to send the same person every time.

The services haven't really impacted us one way or another. I just wish the caregivers were more able to get my mother to do the exercises she has to do. I know she can do them, but she just isn't pushed to do so.

SYNERGY HomeCare has been very helpful. I am able to take a break from my dad when he goes to his doctor's appointments. SYNERGY HomeCare is great because they are patient, understanding, and good with scheduling. My mother is hard to take care of, but we found a good caregiver. I have a different nurse everyday, but they do seem to be capable. They need to have the ladies better trained and to give the right info when they suggest someone.
I like that they provide good care, and the girls are really nice. They should be able to be more spontaneous. I wish I could have them every day, but I can't afford it because of the condition we're in. It'd be nice if they could do just a little more for us. Right now they can make sure that the patients are well taken care of. I used to have to go and do all of the errand running myself.
I asked for certain things, but they did not provide what I wanted. They need to answer phones better and need to be better at being on time and getting to work. They have good responsiveness, and they have quite reasonable rates. The lady that was assigned to my mom was excellent. He can't travel by himself if he doesn't have assistance. They were good enough to help us, even though we don't live in that city.

I like that they are very person oriented. The caregiver helped the most by just being a caring person. I liked that the people were really friendly. The caregivers have been able to be on time. I would like them to improve their ability to send people out when they are supposed to.

They send out well qualified caregivers. Each caregiver that comes out has helped me get up and they are always in a good mood. My mom does not like to do physical therapy, and the caregivers do not encourage her when she complains. They just stop, and I understand that, but they just need to push her through it.
