Theron rejects his parents as well as the concept of family, and thus Libby, his true love. The homes used in the film, particularly for the interior shots, are in Oxford, as is the downtown area. Some hunting scenes were filmed near Lake Crook, the Paris water supply. Other scenes were filmed south of Cuthand, Texas in Red River County. Remnants of the steel truss bridge seen in the film still exist near the Sulfur River crossing between Titus and Red River counties. Husband-and-wife team Harriet Frank Jr. and Irving Ravetch wrote the screenplay, making some key changes in Humphrey's story to emphasize the core conflicts.

The movie's storyline begins with screenwriter Lucy Collins landing a job to write the script for a remake of "His Merry Bride!," a beloved Christmas classic first filmed at Biltmore House in 1947. Lucy travels to the estate and joins a guided tour of the historic home. She's drawn to an entrancing hourglass that she accidentally knocks over, subsequently being transported back in time to 1946 ― the Golden Age of Hollywood ― and on set with the cast and crew of "His Merry Bride!" at Biltmore. The theory, repeated several times online, pointed to the fact Frank refused to pay towards the hefty pizza delivery bill at the start of the first film, and that he appears to despise Kevin throughout all their interactions. Some even highlighted the deleted pantsing scene as further proof of Frank’s villainy. Filming took place in Oxford, Mississippi near the University of Mississippi campus, and Paris, Texas and its surrounding area.
Those words have been uttered to Bamman on more than a few occasions too. In fact, perhaps unsurprisingly, Bamman tells Den of Geek it’s usually the line most often quoted back to him by fans. He also says that, initially, the attention he got because of the Uncle Frank role was tough to deal with. While Netflix is expectedly keeping the detailed plot points of the Luther movie under wraps, the film’s official title has been revealed as well as a compelling synopsis. Idris, 50, confirmed how close they were to getting the film made in 2020, before revealing in September this year that filming had wrapped. Luckily, their prayers were answered with the news that a movie spin-off is on the way, with the actor returning as DCI John Luther. Marge, deeply disappointed in him, decides to exclude him from the family’s Christmas activities, which soon gets to Bart’s heart. Finally, he decides to make it up to her in a way that is appropriately Christmas.
While not having the most to do with traditional Christmas tropes, it still maintains a holiday setting. Inside a drunk, homeless man dressed as Santa, Rick has built a theme park—Anatomy Park. But with the man dying, Morty must be injected inside to save the park from destruction. Hank and his family have been through some exciting Christmases, but no more fascinating misadventures came like Bill’s post-yuletide crisis. This year, he’s put up a unique Christmas village for the neighborhood in his front yard – but he’s not interested in taking it down even after the holiday’s over. Meanwhile, Cleveland reveals to his son his unique Boxing Day tradition—fighting his father to win his gifts.
But this episode was by far the most heartbreaking and beautiful of the entire selection. Bart gets in trouble again when he shoplifts a violent video game after Marge refuses to get it for him. This special begins with a characteristic Family Guy opening musical number full of beautiful music and cameos from popular characters.
It's Chazelle's most ambitious work to date, but as noted in our Babylon review, that ambition results in a three-hour movie that will be "one viewer's favorite movie of the year and another's calamitous nemesis." The Royal Nanny truly has all the makings of a memorable holiday movie. Rachel Skarsten plays the titular nanny/MI5 agent who goes undercover inside Kensington Palace. New cast members to the Luther franchise include Wicked star Cynthia Erivo, Lord of the Rings actor Andy Serkis, retired professional mixed martial artist Jess Liaudin and Samuel Winner.

"The Plight Before Christmas" might be Bob’s Burgers’ most recent Christmas special, but it might be its best. All three of the Belcher kids are performing in holiday productions at the same time on the same night. The Simpsons’ first episode was a Christmas special, so they’ve always had a special knack for the holiday.
